About Us
An-Nissa in Arabic translates “The Women”- A name used to highlight that the Academy is for the Women to accommodate them in attaining every aspect of their Islamic Knowledge Insha Allah.
Allah سبحانھ و تعالى has dedicated a whole Sura in the Quraan called An-Nissa which talks of women’s rights, many female issues pertaining to Divorce, Marriage, dealings of Orphans and Children. Other topics highlighted in the Sura consist of maintaining and dealing with relations between communities as well as the topic of Inheritance. With all this in mind An-Nissa Academy hopes to be at the forefront in creating a sense of confidence and comfort that An-Nissa Academy is run by a passionate female striving for the sake of Allah سبحانھ و تعالى together with the teachers we have working with us we are able to assist all our sisters of various backgrounds to overcome many issues in their lives through building their foundation with sacred knowledge Insha Allah.
Muftiyyah Shazia Founder and Director of An-Nissa Academy A Mother of 3 children. She inspires to influence and empower females through Islamic knowledge using Quran, Hadith, Islamic values, and principles. Conveying through her extensive knowledge in various fields, life experiences and Islamic Education along with her passion for Islam, she intends to help educate and provide a foundation for sisters to feel reconnected with their Lord and Creator, thus be able to understand and fulfill there obligations to Allah سبحانھ و تعالى the Almighty. Muftiyyah Shazia has studied at Birmingham University and achieved a Bachelors of Science in Psychology in Education. She has in addition studied a 7 Years Islamic Theology and Arabic Language Alimiyyah programme under the guidance of Mufti Mohammed Tosir Miah a graduate of Darul Uloom Bury, she has Alhamdulillah in addition completed her Takhasus al Fiqh course and graduated as Muftiyyah with Saalihaat Academy under the guidance of various knowledgable scholars who have studied with Mufti Taqi Ustmani.
Our goal is to produce such individuals, who will not only be well-mannered. well-versed and be giving back to the community, but such individuals who will also be the epitome of Taqwa (God-consciousness) and be a catalyst for change. An Nissa-Academy offers full-time and part-time online Alimiyyah programs, Tafsir, Islamic Tutoring classes for children and teenagers alike. We also offer classes for adults in Tajweed, Tafsir, Hadith, and Sirah. We have students all over the UK and all over the world, ranging from the USA to Qatar and Dubai, and expanding constantly.
An-Nissa Academy is an established academy in providing Islamic knowledge for a whole host of females with/without commitments, using various mediums such as online courses, lectures, trust and love to assist Females from all backgrounds in attaining Jannah collectively Insha Allah.
The Academy aims to inspire and influence sisters around the world regardless of what level they are spiritually, from beginners, non practicing, practicing and those who are new to Islam. Our objective is to be a means of assisting in reconnecting and strengthening sisters in their relationship with Allah Almighty- The Creator.
